Larger projects involve work with other professions, such as carpenters and painters, and also close collaboration with set designers and producers. The work can involve travel, for example for concerts or recording work.

Prop masters work in theaters, concert halls, opera houses or in film and television production.

Competence requirements

An interest in theater and films is an important prerequisite in the work of prop masters, as well as being able to work creatively in such an environment. It is a great advantage to be handy and be able to work systematically on practical projects, both independently and with others.
